Great option for the money... December 11, 2008 Nice little hard case for the money. Sturdy, although you probably wouldn't want to toss it around, nor would I use it as airline baggage, but for basic storage and carry around use it is fine. Fit and finish is good, slight mis-alignment with the lid but not enough to cause closing problems. Currently holding 1 DSLR and 4 lenses along with a few extras like charger, flash, filters, etc. using the included dividers. Note it is not very deep so any lenses longer than about 3-4" will need to lay horizontal, which also means it will not hold a DSLR upright, much less one with a battery grip attached. Not an issue just lay it flat.
All in a a great value. Perfect for my uses, but for extreme or airline use spend the extra money and get a Pelican or similar shock-resistant case.
Great case at a fair price October 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this case for over 3 years now and it has been great. I fit my Digital Rebel, 5 lens, 2 extra batteries, 2 chargers, a promaster 7500 flash and a lightmeter in here. It was a trick figuring out all the foam for that task but it works fantastic. I'm on my second set of foam due to the fact I changed my kit a little bit so I ordered brand new foam from Vanguard. It costs $7.50 + $5.00 s/h. This case really is quite durable. Just yesterday I set it up on end and stood on it to climb up on a rooftop and it held my near 190lbs just fine. No complaints here. This case was a throw-in on a high end Marantz digital recorder my wife purchased. She didn't need the case so I used it for my camera kit.
Excellent for the price August 20, 2008 I chose this mode of storage for my kit over a bag for two simple reasons.
1. I'm a neat freak 2. Protection
This handles both as storing your gear has never looked so clean and organized and for $40, the protection can't be beat.
Rugged construction (as long as you don't throw it around). Easy to customize. Great buy.
So nice, I bought 2! August 17, 2008 Awesome case! Plenty of room for my manual focus camera gear and very versatile. I liked is so much I bought a 2nd one to hold my flash equipment!
Because it comes with both the pick-n-pluck foam and the dividers, it's one of the most versatile cases I've used. Is it as solid as a true aluminum case? No, but for storage it can't be beat - especially for the price!
Great case and a awesome value! August 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The case is very nice, it looks like it is an expensive one. Far from it, it is an awsome value. I could fit a canon D40, 2 mid range zoom lenses, 2 macro lenses, 4 camera batteries, 2 CF cards, 1 battery charger, 24 AA batteries, 1 580EXII flash, 1 battery grip, 3 lens hoods, 1 remote shutter contol, and a lens cleaning kit. And it does not look crowded! I couln't ask for more. I Highly recomend it.
