5 out of 5 stars Great   December 25, 2008

First off, Amazon rocks for getting this sent to me by Christmas Eve, despite the current 3-6 week wait. My friend was thrilled I got this in time.

This monopod is great. It's not super expensive and it gets the job done. I really didn't want an expensive one because I knew I wouldn't use it tons (though given how much I'm pleased with this, I might now). The extension to almost 6 feet is great for whenever you need to see above crowds, or anywhere you need to raise the camera/camcorder high enough to get that shot.

The picture doesn't show it, but there are three clips at the bottom where it telescopes. You have to release all three to adjust the height, which makes it even better to adjust to just the right height because you can just snap certain clips into place once you've found the position on that part of the base.

Overall, for the price, this monopod is pretty nice. Metal tip on the base, foam grip at the top with a lanyard to keep it attached to your wrist in case you lose grip and it falls. This is definitely going to help me with my photography, especially in areas where I need to crouch down or have a difficult angle where I need something to hold it steady. It's great for when I use digital zoom, which is more sensitive to slight movement.

Absolutely would recommend for those on a budget.
