Product Description Since its establishment in 1941 as Japan's first specialty manufacturer of optical glass, Hoya has diversified into new business areas that exploit the potential of advanced optics technologies. The Company has continued to grow as a global enterprise through the expansion of its diverse business, which encompass electro-optics, photonics, vision care, health care and crystal products. :: Hoya Circular Polarizing Filter :: Light rays which are reflected by any surface become polarized and polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They allow you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass... etc. They also enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. Hoya's polarizing filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot. :: Hoya UltraViolet (UV) Filter :: Hoya UV filters should be constantly fitted to a lens to give improved clarity and color balance as well as offering protection to your lens. A UV filter absorbs the ultraviolet rays which often makes outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct, and an excellent multi-purpose fine-weather filter for color as well as black and white films. Also serves as a permanent lens protector. Also included is an Opteka 5 Piece Professional Cleaning Kit, and an Opteka Professional Tabletop Tripod!

Decent deal for the money... November 13, 2007 If you can find the filters seperately, cheaper, get them. The tripod and cleaning kit aren't worth paying any extra for.
The little tripod is super-tiny, only 5" tall, with little bendy legs, but is WAY too wimpy for a DSLR. The cleaning kit is junk.
I've seen reviews that bag on the Green Label Hoya filters (made by Tokina in the Philippines), but these work fine, feel smooth and solid, and IMHO only a full-on pro could tell the difference between these and the much more expensive filters.
Good filters September 27, 2007 These Hoya filters are high quality filters and a good kit for a person that just needs a polarizer and a lens protector. The cleaning kit is basic and the small tripod is an extra that probably won't get much use but the filters are worth the price of the kit so why not?
