Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Lexar CF51240278 has harnessed the speed and power of USB technology to provide an easy-to-use, low-cost image-transfer solution for the digital photography enthusiast. With 512 MB memory capacity, this CompactFlash memory storage card is capable of storing high-resolution audio and video files. Lexar's USB-enabled CompactFlash digital film and JumpShot-connection kit let you quickly capture high-resolution images and easily transfer them to a PC or Mac through the USB port on your computer. There's no lengthy installation process and no need for a separate card reader. With Lexar Media's JumpShot-connection kit, you can now transfer your CompactFlash images to your computer up many times faster than your camera's serial cable connection.

Customer Reviews:
Durability and trust July 26, 2008 I take photos about 3 years with this memory card and I never miss a shoot. Actually exists cards with more speed and store capacity, but since I bought this Lexar card, I never change this brand.
Best Value January 9, 2007 I have been using these cards for over a year sometimes 5k images a month with no failures. Shooting in Canon 20d and XTI. No problems with speed never had a failure. I like them a lot.
Works fine -- duh October 29, 2006 Obviously it should, shouldn't it? And it does. Nice to have 4x my previous memory card. Used it on two recent trips in tandem with my original one. One issue is keeping track of the downloads -- which is probably a camera thing rather than a memory card thing.
Great card! March 22, 2005 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This card is so fast. I have never had a proublem with any Lexar product. A+ in my book.
It works but not as you would presume it should !!! February 11, 2005 There is no problem with the card or capacity. But when I compare my results with Lexar 12X card, there is NO difference in the time it takes to store the image ( once you click the camera ) !!!. Yes, restoring images from the card to computer is very fast compared to my 12x card. But while snapping photos there is no difference in speed. This could be because of the camera or some other reason...but my main reason to buy a 40x card was to snap photos as fast as possible.
By the way I am using this card in Nikon 5700 camera. Make sure that your camera supports the Write Acceleration Technology. he CF card will work, **BUT** there was no increase in speed over other cards.
