Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
What you can't see can affect your pictures. Dirt comes from many sources and itmust be removed in a safe and effective way, or your images will show this debris. Four common types of contaminants can get on your image sensor: Metallic, Fiber, Organic and Silica/Quartz particles. Only the SensorScope system addresses all four types of material and the proper way to remove them safely. SensorScope enables you to check your sensor to see if it needs cleaning, there's nothing safer than not cleaning your sensor. The SensorScope looks like a camera lens, however, it allows you to look back into your camera to inspect your sensor. The SensorScope is easily portable and provides a 5x magnification lens and 4 ultra bright LED lights, which are focused to completely illuminate the field of inspection. Although specifically designed for Canon and Nikon DSLRs, the SensorScope may be used on any manufacturer's DSLR. How does it work? 1) The SensorScope has 5X magnification with ultra bright LED illumination for precise sensor inspection. Fully charge your camera battery & set it to cleaning mode. 2) Place the SensorScope onto your lens mount, and press the power button to illuminate the sensor. 3) Look through the SensorScope and inspect you sensor for debris.

2 out of 5 stars When is sound to good to be true - IT IS!!!   June 8, 2008

I bought this toolkit yesterday from j&R! At first i thought it was very useful and actually worked. I have to say that the sales representative was very good with his selling skills =). So i fell for it.
When I read the manual and looked at everything inside i was like WOW this may actually work pretty good.
But when i got to use it, it was so terrible it is just unbelievable, especially for that kind of money.(i paid over 100$ for it)
The sensor scope is kinda useful, even though i actually have to aim with your eye at different angles to determine if there is any dust on your sensor.
The vacuum is totally useless. First of all the build quality is so cheap that the whole thing just falls apart when you touch it. Second of all the brush is not even soft and SCRATCHES your sensor!!! So don't even dare to use it.
Cleaning solution is pretty good, but the cleaning wands aren't very soft and the actual material that they use feels pretty rough IT MAY SCRATCH YOUR SENSOR so be careful. Also let me add the wands are probably for 35mm sensor, because they were to big for mine 22.2 x 14.8 mm digital rebel xti!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS KIT TO ANYBODY. YOU ARE BETTER OFF BUYING JUST A CLEANING SOLUTION AND GOOD SENSOR WANDS.

5 out of 5 stars dellkin ssensorscope 5x   April 7, 2008
This product worked as promised, even moreso. Clarity in viewing the sensor was a given; ease of use was assured; result guaranteed. A must have for digital photographers.

1 out of 5 stars Really poor design; a worthless product.   October 28, 2007

The stiff, hard-to-hold momentary power switch and the oddball batteries would be bad enough. The real problem is that the fixed-focus depth-of-field loupe does NOT focus on my sensor.

Delkin claims they have designed the scope specifically to work with Canon and Nikon DSLRs. I have a Nikon D-200; with the Delkin scope I get a very sharp view of the perimeter of the mirror box, but down where it matters there is a blurred green rectangle. That is the sensor, and there is no way to adjust the the scope to focus on it. The only way I'll ever know it's dirty is by looking at ruined photographs.

Of course, I can just clean my sensor using my Visible Dust cleaning products (which work very well), but the whole idea of the SensorScope is to know when to clean and when NOT to clean, since cleaning should be avoided when unnecessary.

I attempted to give this product a no-star rating, but Amazon wouldn't let me do it...$50 wasted. It is irritating and mystifying to see a simple, good idea so poorly executed.

1 out of 5 stars Good Scope, shame about the kit...   July 16, 2007

I found the swabbs have far to hard a heat sealed edge, and the cleaning fluid left streaks. The Vacuum unit had brissles that were stiff.. I would have through softer brissles as a sensor brush would have been the way. I would use a bad pun, and say that the mini-Vac "sucks" only it did not. well not trrong enough to pick up anything.. The only realy good part was the scope, which worked (surprisingly well) BUT the Button on mine was very stiff, and had to be held ON by force, and must be held on as this is not a push on push off button (only a momentary button) and this made working tough going, especialy when yu are working in such a delicate enviroment as this... (and why in this day and age cant people use standard AA or AAA's?)
Having said that, the scope did allow me to see dust that did not shop up in my photos, and with the aid of a different brand of sensor swabs, got to job done...
It would have been even better if you couldhave kept the sensor scope ON the camera while using the swab. Instead you have to view, the take the scope of, and swab, and then put the scope back to see the results... And a great many times till it is done... Back to the Drawing board I think... or make a stand of scope with a lighting ring that fits on the lens mount, so you can VIEW and Work at the same time... Sandy
